Juno Technologies Admitted to Esplanade Collision Program!

This month, the Esplanade Collision Program welcomed 9 new innovative startups. The projects that make up the cohort all have a strong potential for impact in the healthcare sector.

Chosen from 44 applications, after a selection bootcamp that allowed them to discover the Impact Gaps Canvas, the teams have now started the program’s workshops.

Thanks to the Esplanade’s health cluster partners, the selected startups may also have the opportunity to begin testing in real-world environments. These partners include:

  • the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec,
  • the CIUSSS de l’Est-de-l’Île-de-Montréal,
  • du Nord-de-l’Île-de-Montréal, du Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal,
  • du Centre-Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal and de l’Estrie,
  • the CHUM

We would like to thank the City of Montreal for its involvement in this cohort.

Juno Technologies has been accepted into the Collision de l’Esplanade program.
A project represented by Nanette Sene and Lynn Doughane.

The problem the team is addressing:
Menstrual pain affects 71% of women and existing solutions are few and far between and lack effectiveness.

The impact solution:
A discreet, compact, and portable device that provides instant relief from menstrual pain and over long periods of time.

A few words about the project
The device developed by the team is positioned in an adhesive way on the painful area at the bottom of the belly. It combines several technologies. Currently, Juno is finalizing the development of its prototype with the support of two CCTTs.

The company aims to become the solution of choice for menstrual pain. In addition, the company wants to foster an inclusive and equitable environment for women and to open the dialogue on this long taboo subject in order to bring about real change.
