Juno Technologies, a medtech startup developing a menstrual pain solution, won the 6th Edition of the Excellence Grants for the Next Generation of Women Entrepreneurs (2024).
Montreal, Quebec: On May 1st, 2024, Foundation J. Armand Bombardier named Juno Technologies, a company creating a menstrual pain relief device, as the winner of the Excellence Grants for the Next Generation of Women Entrepreneurs. This award annually recognizes the work of three audacious women entrepreneurs whose businesses are between one and five years old. This year’s laureates are Juno Technologies, Iris-Arlo, and Village Urbain.
“We are honored to receive the Huguette Fontaine Grant for the technological innovation sector, recognizing our dedication to advancing women’s health through innovative technological solutions,” shared Juno Technologies on LinkedIn.
Each year, the J. Armand Bombardier Foundation awards three grants to women entrepreneurs. Many apply and compete for the $10,000 prize. Over several months, multiple groups of the foundation review applications. The foundation’s staff conducts the initial review, followed by further assessment by a grant award committee. The Board of Directors and the founders of the J. Armand Bombardier Foundation, Janine Bombardier, Claire Beaudoin, and Huguette Fontaine, make the final decision. Each grant bears the name of one of the women founders of J. Armand Bombardier.
