Juno wins Effervescence

Montreal, Quebec: On May first 2024, Nanette Sene, CEO of Juno Technologies, won the first prize in the Medical Technologies And Digital Health category. The first prize was awarded during the 4th edition of the Effervescence pitch competition, held at the Bonsecours Market in Montréal. 

 

The Effervescence Pitch competition was created to support young startups in the scientific and medical field. Each year, countless startups apply to have a chance to win $10,000 to put towards their business. Only 10 are to move to the final where they will present their business on stage in the form of over 500 scientists, entrepreneurs, students, investors, and professionals. Each finalist will compete in one of two categories (Biopharmaceutical & Biotechnology or Medical technologies & Digital health) for either first or second place.

 

This year’s winners were

🏆2nd biopharmaceutical and biotechnology prize: Atorvia Health Technologies represented by Jane Lapon

 

🏆Biotechnology Impact Award: CereCura Nanotherapeutics represented by Louis-Philippe Bernier, PhD

 

🏆1st prize medical technologies and digital health: Juno Technologies represented by Nanette Sene

 

🏆 2nd prize medical technologies and digital health: Vope Medical represented by Amy Lorincz

 

The event is supported by both the  Fonds De Solidarité FTQ And Admare Bioinnovations. Both organisations are sponsoring the event by providing the $10 000 prizes to the participants.

 

About Juno Technologies: Juno Technologies is a medtech startup founded by two women, focusing on women’s health. They are developing a revolutionary device to relieve menstrual pain without medication.
